Schema Therapy
Schema Therapy is an in-depth form of psychotherapy specifically developed for the treatment of personality disorders. In this therapy you will investigate which events in your life have led to negative core beliefs (schemas) and which emotional and behavioral patterns (modes) have arisen from these. You learn to feel what your needs are and how you can shape them in a healthy way. We can work with traumatic events from the past through Imagery Rescripting. Through this therapy you can learn to better understand why you react to things in a certain way and how you can tap into a more healthy side of yourself.
Schema Therapy works best if you can attend weekly sessions at a fixed time and if you have time during your week to do exercises to increase your awareness. In my practice I offer schema therapy for 20 to 30 sessions.
